We got to Texas just in time for the worst storm in like 30 years...if there's bad weather, we will find it 😂 it has been an interesting week and it's only Wednesday.
Happy 43rd birthday to this amazing and beautiful woman!! This rig wouldn't roll if it wasn't for her. She is the kindest and most selfless person ive ever met and she is my ride or die lady! Even though we can't do much because of recent events I hope you have the happiest of birthdays love!!
A big fat THANK YOU to Korey's dad Steve!! He flew to Florida last week to tow our 5th wheel to Texas 💗 We took our time, 4 days on the road, so Korey would be comfortable since he is still healing from surgery. He was a trooper, by the 4th day he was swollen and hurting but made it and feeling much more comfortable now. We are both so grateful for Steve's help and what he did for us!! Our bathroom fan decided to die on us a few days ago and he got that motor replaced and back in action too 🎉🎉🎉 It's such a relief to be somewhere familiar and where we know people! Now to get Korey into see a new surgeon so he can start the colostomy reversal process 🤞 hoping he can get this done in 5 months.
Look who got out and about today 💗 Korey is feeling a little better each day, his dad flew in yesterday and we are starting the 4 day drive to Texas tomorrow 🙌 so thankful he is here to help us!! Korey was feeling ready for a quick trip to the beach so we took him up on it. We've been here a little over a month and haven't done anything since he was in the hospital so it was fun to go explore a little 😊. Just hoping Korey handles being in the truck for 4 days ok 🤞🤞🤞
Pretty cotton candy sunset tonight when I got home from visiting Korey 💗 An update from our last post....We are still in Punta Gorda, and Korey is still in the hospital (day 14). He had surgery on Monday and is now recovering 🙌 He's getting up and walking the halls multiple times a day and tried real food tonight (he's been on clear liquids). He even cracked a few smiles this afternoon, it's been a while! Still not sure when he gets out of there. It wont be until he's eating regular food consistently and no more IV pain meds. I sure hope it's soon!! He does too, he's going nuts. His dad is coming to the rescue and flying out to Florida to drive us to Texas 💗🙌💗, we are so thankful for his help and it will be so nice having him with us, can't wait to see him!! We are going to be in Texas for roughly 8 months, Korey will need another surgery in 6 months so once he is fully recovered we can decide where to go next.
Kicking 2021 off with a bang over here [insert sarcasm]... We always like to post pics of what we are getting to see and do while traveling but we definitely want to keep it real and this last week has been so scary and hard for us both in different ways.
